Bonner Behördenforum 2023

From October 18 to 19, the „Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung“ (BIBB) hosted the Bonn Authorities Forum eGovernment 2023. Exciting topics relating to the "E-Akte Bund", such as the online access act, cloud-solutions, long-term archiving and funding platforms, were on the programme at the event. Around 200 visitors took this opportunity to learn first-hand about the latest product innovations and gather information about the wide range of possible uses.

This year, participants had a choice of four different topics:

  • Forum I: Beyond E-File - The Madness Continues
  • Forum II: Impact of Demographic Change - Digitization Trends?
  • Forum III: Online Access Act
  • Forum IV: Culture Change through Digitization.

In the forums, speakers described their experiences from different areas of federal, state and local government. Fabasoft was represented at the event as an exhibitor and with two presentations in Forum I. At the information booth, Fabasoft presented the "E-Akte Bund" to numerous interested parties and invited them to exchange experiences.

Markus Schenk showed in his presentation how Talents on Fabasoft eGov digitizes the management of personnel files in the public sector and makes related processes more efficient. In addition, the use of the product leads to an acceleration of processes in the personnel area and an increase in security through complete digitalization.

Valiantsin Okola-Kulak (BIBB) and Stephan Wiesner (Fabasoft) gave a presentation on the topic of "Successfully introducing the "E-Akte Bund" with the Fabasoft CC E-File, a BIBB field report"". This presentation was about the first-time introduction of the "E-Akte Bund" by BIBB in December 2019 as a building block of the digital transformation. BIBB successfully completed this implementation project together with Fabasoft in 2022. The presenters provided a detailed report on their experiences and also described the success factors and challenges of the project. The implementation process focused on optimizing internal and external communications and transforming key analog processes into digital ones in order to increase BIBB's relevance and efficiency. The speakers also presented the process of introducing the "E-Akte Bund" in the indirect federal administration and outlined the underlying procedural model.
